Abstract Submission

    Would you like to present your research at ICOMTA’2027?

    The first step is simple: submit an abstract of up to 300 words through our official Google Form.

    You do not need to prepare or submit a full paper at this stage. An abstract is all that is required for the initial evaluation.

    What Should Your Abstract Include?

    Your abstract should provide a clear and concise overview of your research, including:

    • The research topic and subject matter.
    • The main objectives.
    • The methodology or research approach.
    • The main findings or expected results.
    • The originality and scientific contributions of the research.

    Maximum length: 300 words.

    Proposals may be submitted in any of the four official languages of ICOMTA’2027: English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.

    How Will Your Abstract Be Evaluated?

    All proposals will undergo an initial double-blind peer review process conducted by members of the ICOMTA Scientific Committee.

    Abstracts will be assessed according to four main criteria: scientific quality, originality, thematic relevance, and scientific contribution.

    Notification of evaluation results: Within a maximum of 30 days from the date of submission.

    Following the evaluation, authors will receive one of three decisions:

    1. Invitation to submit a full paper: The proposal is shortlisted for further development and evaluation for potential publication.
    2. Acceptance for conference presentation only: The proposal is accepted for presentation at ICOMTA’2027, without publication.
    3. Rejection: The proposal is not accepted.

    An invitation to submit a full paper does not guarantee acceptance for publication. Any subsequent publication opportunity will be subject to an additional peer-review process and the applicable editorial requirements.

    What Happens After Submission?

    Once you have completed the Google Form, your proposal will enter the initial evaluation process.

    The ICOMTA Organizing Committee will communicate the outcome to the email addresses provided in the submission form.

    If your proposal is accepted for conference presentation, you will be able to present your research at ICOMTA’2027, taking place from September 14 to 17, 2027, at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (Canada), in person or online, subject to the conference registration requirements.

    If your proposal is shortlisted for potential publication, you may receive an invitation to submit a full manuscript for an additional evaluation process. Invited authors will receive specific instructions regarding the submission platform, manuscript preparation, publication opportunities, and deadlines.

    Submitting a full paper is optional and only possible by invitation following the abstract submission and initial double-blind peer review process.
