The VII International Conference on Communication and Applied Technologies (ICOMTA’2027) invites researchers, academics, and professionals from around the world to submit original research proposals in English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
The conference will take place at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (Canada), from September 14 to 17, 2027, in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and online participation.
ICOMTA’2027 distinguishes between acceptance for conference presentation and acceptance for publication. Authors may participate in the conference without submitting a full paper. Selected proposals may also be invited to proceed to a separate full-paper evaluation process for potential publication.
All submissions must address one of the conference’s thematic areas or the topics covered by its workshops.
1. Abstract Submission and Evaluation
To participate in ICOMTA 2027, authors must first submit an abstract of no more than 300 words through the official Google Form.
The abstract should clearly describe the research topic, objectives, methodology, main findings or expected results, and scientific contributions.
SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT – GOOGLE FORM (HERE)
Abstract submission deadline: May 1, 2027.
Notification of evaluation results: Within a maximum of 30 days from the submission date.
All abstracts will undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two members of the ICOMTA Scientific Committee. Proposals will be assessed according to their relevance, originality, scientific significance, and clarity.
Following the evaluation, each proposal will receive one of the following decisions:
- Invitation to submit a full paper: The proposal is shortlisted for further development and evaluation for potential publication.
- Acceptance for conference presentation only: The proposal is accepted for presentation at ICOMTA 2027, without publication.
- Rejection: The proposal is not accepted.
Only an abstract is required for initial participation. A full paper is not mandatory to present research at ICOMTA’2027.
2. Selection for Potential Publication
Among the submitted proposals, the ICOMTA Scientific Committee will identify contributions demonstrating sufficient scientific quality, originality, and potential for further development.
Authors of selected proposals who have expressed an interest in publication may be invited to prepare and submit a full manuscript.
An invitation to submit a full paper does not guarantee acceptance for publication.
Invited authors will receive information about the relevant publication opportunities, manuscript preparation guidelines, submission procedures, deadlines, and peer-review requirements. All full manuscripts must be submitted through the EasyChair platform using a dedicated submission link, which will be provided to eligible authors once their abstracts have been accepted and their conference registration has been completed. Submitted manuscripts will undergo an additional peer-review process.
For further information, please visit the Publications section of this website.
3. Full-Paper Submission and Peer Review
Full manuscripts will undergo an additional double-blind peer review process, conducted by at least two qualified reviewers, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant publication venue.
Only manuscripts that successfully complete the review process and meet the applicable scientific, editorial, ethical, and formatting requirements may be accepted for publication.
Full manuscripts must be original, must not have been previously published, and must not be under simultaneous consideration by another conference, journal, or publisher.
Manuscript Preparation and Anonymity
To preserve the integrity of the double-blind peer review process:
- Manuscripts submitted for evaluation must not contain authors’ names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, or other directly identifying information.
- Authors should also avoid identifying themselves through acknowledgments, file metadata, or unnecessarily revealing self-references.
- Manuscripts must follow the formatting and submission guidelines communicated to invited authors.
- Accepted authors must incorporate any revisions required during the peer-review process before submitting their final manuscripts.
Full papers will be submitted through the designated conference management platform, using the submission instructions provided to invited authors.
