ICOMTA’2027 distinguishes between conference registration and publication fees.
Conference registration is required for each participating author, while publication fees, where applicable, are charged per accepted article, not per author.
You do not need to publish a full paper to participate in ICOMTA’2027.
1. Conference Registration Fees
Once an abstract has been accepted, each participating author must complete their individual conference registration.
ICOMTA’2027 offers two registration categories based on the World Bank income classification of the country where each author’s primary institution is located.
Registration fees are the same for in-person and online presentations.
Registration Fees by Author
| Authorship position | Reduced registration | General registration |
| First author | €55 | €75 |
| Second author | €30 | €40 |
| Third author | €30 | €40 |
| Fourth and subsequent authors | €15 each | €15 each |
Reduced Registration
Reduced registration applies to authors whose primary institutional affiliation is in an economy classified by the World Bank as low-income, lower-middle-income, or upper-middle-income.
Examples include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, and South Africa.
General Registration
General registration applies to authors whose primary institutional affiliation is in an economy classified by the World Bank as high-income.
Examples include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Which Registration Fee Applies to Me?
The applicable registration fee is determined by the country of your primary institutional affiliation, according to the World Bank income classification adopted for ICOMTA’2027.
Your nationality, country of birth, or country of payment does not determine your registration category.
If you have affiliations in more than one country, the primary institutional affiliation declared in your ICOMTA’2027 submission will be used.

2. Publication Fees (Optional)
Publication is a separate process from conference registration.
Following the initial evaluation of abstracts, selected authors may be invited to submit a full manuscript for further peer review and potential publication.
There is no publication fee for submitting an abstract or having it evaluated.
An invitation to submit a full paper does not guarantee publication. All manuscripts must meet the scientific, editorial, and formatting requirements of the relevant publication venue.
Publication Fees per Accepted Article
| Collection | Fee per article |
| Springer | €400 |
| Atlantis Press | €350 |
| Tirant lo Blanch | €280 |
| ICOMTA-associated journal special issues | €0 charged by ICOMTA* |
*Academic journals may apply their own Article Processing Charges (APCs), established and managed directly by the relevant journal. ICOMTA does not charge publication fees for articles published in these special issues.
Publication fees are charged per article, independently of the individual conference registration fees.
Members of the ICOMTA Scientific Committee and invited reviewers may request a €50 discount on applicable publication fees, subject to the relevant conditions.
All publication opportunities remain subject to the applicable editorial approval, peer-review procedures, and availability.
3. Attendance Without a Presentation
ICOMTA’2027 also welcomes participants who wish to attend the conference without presenting a research paper or pursuing publication.
| Attendance format | Individual fee |
| In person | €50 |
| Online | €30 |
This registration category provides access to the conference’s academic activities but does not include the presentation or publication of a research contribution.
A certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who attend the keynote lectures and at least four thematic sessions, subject to verification by the conference organizers.

Each participating author must complete their own registration and identify the accepted contribution associated with their payment.
The registration form will also allow participants to provide the information required for invoicing.
5. Invoicing
ICOMTA’2027 allows participants and institutions to request invoices for conference registration fees and, where applicable, publication-related payments managed by the conference.
Individual Invoices
Separate invoices may be requested for individual payments, including conference registration and applicable publication fees.
Combined Invoices
Where administratively possible, institutions may request a single invoice covering several payments, such as:
- Registration fees for multiple authors.
- Publication fees for one or more accepted articles.
- A combination of conference registration and applicable publication fees.
To request an invoice, please provide the required billing information through the registration form.
For institutional invoices, the full legal name, tax identification details, and billing address of the institution must be provided.
For combined invoices, please clearly identify all participating authors, contributions, and payments to be included.
Contact for invoicing enquiries: icomtamail@gmail.com
Please note that combining several payments into one invoice does not change how the fees are calculated: conference registration fees apply per author, while publication fees apply per article.
6. Important Information
Abstract acceptance, conference registration, full-paper selection, and publication acceptance are separate processes.
- Abstract submission: Authors submit their research proposals for initial evaluation.
- Abstract acceptance: Accepted authors may proceed with conference registration and presentation.
- Conference registration: Each participating author completes their individual registration.
- Full-paper invitation: Selected authors may submit an extended manuscript for further evaluation.
- Publication acceptance: Only manuscripts that successfully complete the applicable review and editorial processes may proceed to publication.
Remember: You can participate in ICOMTA’2027 without publishing a full paper. Publication fees, where applicable, are separate from conference registration fees.
